General guidelines and Help

Authors need to register on the website prior to submitting or, if already registered, can simply log in and begin the submission process.

  • N.B.: this website also hosts the submission and reviewing system of the journal Mastozoología Neotropical. Registering on the site provides access to both Mastozoología Neotropical and Notas sobre Mamíferos Sudamericanos, and therefore those who have already signed up for the first journal are already registered on the latter.

Publishing in Notas sobre Mamíferos Sudamericanos has a low fee, and you will retain the full copyright of your published work. Once published, you can also download your electronic publication PDF file, and share it or store it on any platform or medium.

Publishing fees

Publishing in Notas sobre Mamíferos Sudamericanos has a low fee, intended to cover the editorial process and production costs. The following prices are per article.

  • General public: USD 20
  • SAREM members: USD 10
    • (one author member is enough)

An extra 5 USD will be charged for modifications to the galley proof exceeding ten (10) changes made by the author.

Once the paper is published, a second publication fee will be charged if the author requests changes that were not previously incorporated.

Finally, the publication of articles longer than 3,000 words may have an extra cost, to be determined for each particular case.
