Abstract

The Uruguayan Pampas cat Leopardus munoai is a feline endemic to open areas of Uruguay, southern Brazil, and northeastern Argentina, with few recent documented records. We report the discovery of a road-killed specimen on Route 43, department of Tacuarembó, Uruguay, in a grassland area previously defined as a highly suitable habitat for this species.
