In this contribution, new localities of occurrence for the wild boar Sus scrofa (Linnaeus 1758) are reported for northeastern Chubut, Argentina. These records increase the geographic extension of this species in Patagonia by 135 linear km to the southeast. The new records were obtained from direct and indirect evidence, and reports from local residents. Likewise, we brief y discuss threats to the conservation of native ecosystems and productive activities that take place in the area as a consequence of the entry of the wild boar.
