First record of the Chacoan mara (Dolichotis salinicola Burmeister, 1876) in the province of San Juan, Argentina

The first record of Dolichotis salinicola (Chacoan mara) is documented in San Juan province. Although it is a species associated with the Dry Chaco, this record situates it in the Monte de Sierras y Bolsones, and the altitudinal range of the species is increased by 400 m, reaching 1200 m a. s. l.
