Welcome to the open journal system of SAREM (Sociedad Argentina para el Estudio de los Mamíferos). Here takes place the process of submission, reviewing and approval of the manuscripts that will later be published in Mastozoología Neotropical or in Notas sobre Mamíferos Sudamericanos.

Mastozoología Neotropical
Mastozoología Neotropical is a biannual (June and December) free access journal devoted to the communication of results of original research on living and extinct Neotropical mammals.
Co-edited by the Sociedad Argentina para el Estudio de los Mamíferos (SAREM) and the Sociedade Brasileira de Mastozoologia (SBMz), its scope includes articles, notes, comments, book reviews and theses abstracts.
It is part of the basic core of scientific journals of the CONICET and is indexed in Zoological Record, Wildlife Review, Biological Abstracts (BIOSIS), Latindex (level 1), SCImago (Quartile 4), Scopus and SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library OnLine).
Currently, Mastozoología Neotropical is published exclusively online. This website is used for the process of submission, reviewing and approval of the manuscripts that will later be published in the journal, while the published contents can be freely accessed on this dedicated website.

Notas sobre Mamíferos Sudamericanos
Notas sobre Mamíferos Sudamericanos is a journal published by the Argentine Society for the Study of Mammals (SAREM by its Spanish acronym). It is an electronic journal, with open access and low publication costs. The articles have immediate and permanent online accessibility.
This journal, published annually, was launched at the beginning of 2018 as a medium for publishing brief reports regarding new locations, data on behavior, and ecological aspects of Neotropical mammals.
It includes short original papers (no more than 3,000 words long) and technical reports.
