Observación de un caso de cuidado parental en un roedor del género Sigmodon (Rodentia, Cricetidae, Sigmodontinae) en el enclave seco del municipio de Villa de Leyva, Colombia

Resumen

Documento un caso de cuidado parental por parte de un roedor del género Sigmodon en el enclave seco del municipio de Villa de Leyva, Boyacá, Colombia. Un individuo adulto, registrado a través de fotografías, se encontró cargando una cría en la boca fuera del nido entre la vegetación herbácea y hojarasca. Este es el primer reporte de un comportamiento de cuidado parental para este género en su medio natural.
