Resumen

La ardilla de vientre rojo es un roedor arborícola de origen asiático introducido en la provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina. En esta nota presentamos dos eventos de depredación de nidos registrados en el partido de Luján, Buenos Aires. El primer registro es la extracción y consumo de un pichón vivo de Furnarius rufus (Gmelin, 1788) del nido; y el segundo, un ataque a un nido con huevo de Turdus amaurochalinus (Cabanis, 1850). Este tipo de comportamiento brinda información sobre el rol que esta especie puede tener como depredadora, y sobre las consecuencias que pueden existir en las poblaciones de aves nativas.
